Triad of Gods

The Triad of Gods are the three siblings that created the Edanverse in the very beginning.

Empyr

Empyr (they/them) is the eldest of the three Gods. Creator of the sun and the skies, Empyr was originally the responsible guardian of their two younger siblings. However, the weight of responsibility grew too heavy for them to bear and eventually Empyr would succumb to both the pressures of being the eldest God and buried resentments towards their siblings for their more care-free nature.

In Edanverse mythos, Empyr is known to be confident, strong, and protective.

Empyr is the original creator of the Yangwai and Jovenes.

Di

Di (they/any) is the middle child of the three Gods. Creator of the land and seas, Di serves as a maternal figure towards their two siblings. Calm and introverted, Di provided a much needed tranquility to Edan. Di has a strong sense of justice and was the God that would stop Empyr's eventual descent into tyranny.

In Edanverse mythos, Di is known to be knowledgeable, calm, and caring. Di is the only one of the three Gods that is still worshipped/recognized by a majority of Edanfolk.

Di is the original creator of the Sylphs and Meeren.

Sphaira

Sphaira (she/her) is the youngest of the three Gods. Creator of the stars and life, Sphaira is a being of chaos and energy. Not bound by any sense of duty or responsibility, Sphaira acts purely on a whim. As a result, she is often at odds with Empyr. Eventually, Sphaira will give up her Godly form to become an Etoilange.

In Edanverse mythos, Sphaira is known to be chaotic, fun, and emotional. While Empyr and Di would receive regular offerings, Sphaira's worshippers would often only bring offerings on major holidays or in events of emotional crisis. Sphaira was seen as a vibrant source of life and partying, but also the most empathetic of the three Gods. While she is no longer worshipped by the majority of Edanfolk, there are still several temples kept in good shape by devoted members of her following.

Sphaira is the original creator of the Aesht'fritun and Etoilanges.

Ten Noble Families

The Ten Noble families are the ten wealthiest and most powerful Yangwai families. They prefer to remain uninvolved with all political happenings, staying within the confines of Engfu. The Heads of the families are never seen in public, although extended members of the family will occasionally make public appearances. Children of the families all attend prestigious academies and their future partner is vetted extensively before being allowed into the family.

The Ten Noble families have unique two-character last names opposed to the traditional one-character:

• Qin'guang
• Chujiang
• Songdi
• Wuguan
• Yanluo (despite being fifth in power, the Yanluo family is in charge of all public appearances)
• Biancheng
• Taishan
• Dushi
• Pingdeng
• Zhuanlun
