Overview

While there originally existed only one continent of Edan, the beginnings of the Great War led to the continent fracturing and splitting into the continent known as Greater Edan and the continent known as Diyu. Around this time, the floating continent of Kumo was created using technology and magic.

Greater Edan

Greater Edan is the most populated and largest of the three continents.

Total Population: 28,050,000

Largest Province: Shivra

Largest Province (by population): Terres

Government: Democratic Republic

Demonym: Edanese

Patron God: Di

Terres

Terres (formerly Empyre) is the largest province in all of Edan and the most demographically diverse. Seen as the capitol of the world, people of all kinds of walks of life congregate in this province.

Demonym: Terrish

Common Surnames: As the majority of the populace are immigrants, there aren't many statistically common names.

Common Occupations: There aren't any predominant occupations in Terres, although there is a large Politician community.

Popular Aesthetics: Modern, Y2K, Alternative, Minimalist

Climate: Moderate, all four seasons can be observed.

Wildlife: Most of Terres has been urbanized. As a result, most flora comes in the forms of gardens or parks maintained by the populace. Pets are common in Terres, although most are either bred by breeders or imported.

Massu

Massu is a mostly flat province consisting of both suburban and rural areas. It is the second most populated province in Greater Edan.

Demonym: Massan

Danna

Danna is an underwater region of Massu populated exclusively by Meeren. A larger portion of the Meeren population in Massu reside in Danna opposed to on land.

Azrelle

Azrelle is the most popular tourist destination in Greater Edan. While the general population is one of the lowest in Greater Edan, it is always busy in Azrelle due to the large amount of visitors.

Climate: Azrelle is sunny and warm year-round. It is somewhat tropical.

Apteel

Apteel is an underwater region of Azrelle populated exclusively by Meeren. The Meeren population in Azrelle is split evenly between land and water.

Khamae

Khamae is the coldest part of Greater Edan and has the highest average elevation. Due to the harsh weather and difficult living conditions, it is the least populated province.

Serys is an underwater region of Khamae populated exclusively by Meeren. The majority of the Meeren population in Khamae reside in Serys opposed to on land.

Shivra

Shivra is a mountainous province with a large, spiritual population. The province is characterized by large amount of temple structures of varying beliefs.

Essandre

Essandre consists of primarily forests and smaller towns. It is unique in being the only land province to have a primarily Meeren population.

Diyu

Diyu is the second most populated and second largest of the three continents. Originally a part of Greater Edan, the continent fractured during the beginning of the Great War. As it was the piece of the continent that was split off, Diyu is located below Greater Edan.

U'du

Considered the heart of Diyu, U'du is a tightly packed province home to many bustling cities. It is also the economic center of Diyu, where many large corporations are headquartered. It is heavily related to Oma.

Demonym: U'duan

Climate: The region is generally warmer than average year-round and there is minimal snowfall in the Winter. It is a humid province.

Wildlife: There is very little flora and fauna due to U'du being heavily urbanized.

Maa'lan / Marianne

Previously heavily populated by Aesht'fritun, the results of the Great War caused more Yangwai to immigrate into the area. While officially renamed Maa'lan following the war, many Aesht'fritun still refer to the province as Marianne.

Y'ao

Y'ao is the least populated area of Diyu. The region is often described as being quiet to the point of nearing eerie. It is a very clean and modern area.

Y'ohe

Y'ohe is an underwater region of Y'ao populated exclusively by Meeren. Roughly half of the Meeren population in Y'ao reside in Y'ohe.

Bet

Bet is a tiny underwater region of Y'ao populated exclusively by Meeren. It is home only to the religious sector of Meeren.

Injung

One of the largest provinces in Diyu in terms of land, it is sparsely populated only by the upper echelons of Edanfolk. It is home to many gated communities.

Engfu

Engfu is heavily guarded region of Injung that is home only to the Ten Noble families.

Venere

Originally home to only Aesht'fritun, many began to immigrate into the area after the Great War. While Venere is still considered one province, the Aesht'fritun created unofficial borders between three regions.

Lume

The least populated region, Lume is tourist region home to many beaches.

Montfeu

Considered a sister region to Maa'lan, Montfeu is mostly mountain regions and home to many ski resorts.

Arisii

The most densely populated region in all of Edan, Arisii is a tighly packed region filled with skyscraper buildings and apartment complexes.

Due to the nature of Aesht'fritun, Lume and Montfeu are primarily vacation towns for the Summer and Winter seasons respectively. The majority of Aesht'fritun live year-round in the complexes of Arisii, going into the other two regions for entertainment and tourism only.

Kumo

The smallest of the three continents, Kumo is also the only "artificial" continent, created from a combination of technology and magic. Due to this, Kumo floats above the other two continents, shrouded by a gate of clouds.

Oma

The financial center of Kumo, Oma and U'du are in constant communication. The Edanfolk in Oma are generally incredibly busy, with many either waking up as the sun rises or going to bed only when the rest of the world has already slept.

Home to Kumo's only trade port and military base, Paruta is the only province where travel to the other continents can be done. The security in this province is extremely high.

A small island off the coast of Paruta, Rho is home to many academic institutes. However, due to Kumo's strict foreign policy, immigration to and from the island are tightly controlled.

The second most populated province of Kumo, Aten is surprisingly slow-paced and idyllic despite the large population. Most of the area is suburban, with the province being described as one of the most outgoing and friendly.
